Is the free tier really free?

Do pack credits expire?
No. Pack tailorings never expire and nothing renews automatically. Unlimited is a one-time 30-day pass that simply ends — top up again only if you need to.
What if the offer is a bad fit?
MaxCV tells you honestly. When your CV doesn't cover the core requirements, you get a "Not a fit" result that lists the gaps instead of a padded CV, and the tailoring is refunded. We never invent experience to close the gaps.
What happens to my data?
As a guest, nothing is saved — your CV and the posting are processed and discarded. Signed in, we store your master CV (so you don't re-upload it every time) until you delete it or your account with one click. We never train on your data and never sell it.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT writes generic resumes in one prompt. MaxCV uses a specialized 7-step pipeline that analyzes the exact job posting, maps each requirement to your experience, generates a tailored CV with ATS keywords, and gives a quantified match score. A dedicated tool, not a general chatbot.
Does MaxCV fabricate or exaggerate my experience?
Never. MaxCV has a hard fabrication ban — it only uses skills and experience already in your CV. It rephrases and highlights your real experience to match the job. If a technology isn't in your CV, it won't appear in the tailored version.
How long does it take?
About 30–60 seconds for the full pipeline: parsing your CV, analyzing the posting, semantic mapping, generating the tailored CV and computing your score. Compare that to 30–60 minutes of manual tailoring per application.
What's the match score?
